The “Laboratory Safety Innovation Award Medallions” were commissioned by the Arizona State University Office of Knowledge Enterprise Operations for their 2019 award ceremony. After initial sketches, digital 2D design and hand-sculpted iteration, the 60 count set was poured in bronze using a traditional lost wax and ceramic-shell foundry technique.
